About Liz Govier Art Studio

Welcome
I am an artist and illustrator based in West Wales, with a background as a published archaeological artefact illustrator since 2008. My practice brings together traditional pen and ink drawing with digital painting, where I work with a graphics tablet and stylus to create detailed, conservation-quality artworks.

In 2021 I began exploring floral compositions, a direction that grew into The Botanical Collection — a series of digital paintings that combine precision with a quiet, enduring elegance. Alongside botanical studies, I continue to illustrate historic architecture, reflecting my long-standing fascination with heritage and place.

Every digital artwork I create is produced to archival standards, using colour-fast inks on acid-free cotton rag, 210gsm matte paper, ensuring that each piece retains its quality and character for years to come.

My Approach
At Liz Govier Art Studio, every piece begins with observation. The curve of a petal, the intricate detail of an historic building, the way light transforms familiar places — these are the moments that inspire my work.

I create digital paintings and pen & ink drawings that celebrate botanical beauty and architectural heritage. Working with archival-quality materials, each piece is made to be both contemporary and enduring, crafted with care to become part of the spaces where it lives.

My philosophy is simple: art should feel personal, elegant, and lasting. Whether a single flower study or a bespoke commission, my work is designed to bring stillness, beauty, and meaning into your home.
